I actually know of something that can be worse than no internet.

Basically...it's half-ass internet, with a really, really bad, unstable connection. As in, loading a webpage takes multiple refresh attempts, and just checking your email can take forever.

When there is zero internet, you can just say "screw it" and start finding other things to do, and you can adjust quickly. When the internet is there but the connection is frustratingly bad, it's there taunting you to use it but you can't really.

I've gone camping for weeks, zero internet, and after the first few days I just stop thinking about all the things I like doing, and then it's pretty much a cakewalk coping. But once I had to go a couple weeks with a horribly unstable connection...and it would work for like two seconds and then wouldn't for a minutes.

That's worse than not having what you crave. That's not having what you crave and having it dangled in front of your face.

TL;DR: No internet connection is better a very unstable one.

The idea of life without the internet is beyond my understanding. I have 2 landlines entering the house at different entry points, so if a truck crashes into the house, they can only take one line down. I have redundant power in the house and a generator with enough fuel to run the house for several months - at least 2 full months in the dead of winter. Then I have 2 mobile phones in the house, from 2 different carriers. Each can be bluetoothed to a hub and give 3G connection to the internet.

Like I said, the idea of life without the internet is beyond my understanding.

I noticed that authority sites usually do something different compared to other sites in their niche. They have a different design or hook that readers find appealing.
